Why You Should Join
At Phoenix, we harness the community's strength to combat the stigma surrounding HSV. Our support group sessions create a nurturing environment where individuals can openly share their journeys, gain insights, and forge supportive relationships without judgement.
We believe that healing is a collective journey, and together, we can redefine what it means to live well with HSV.
If you're hesitant, maybe even a bit scared to reach out, that's completely understandable. Here are a few reasons that might help you make your decision:
Empowerment Through Shared Experiences
You are not alone! Meet others like you who know exactly how you feel. Hear other members share their experiences, thoughts and feelings about herpes. This might range from wondering how having herpes affects one emotionally, how to navigate dating, how to disclose, to discussing treatment of outbreaks, as a few examples.
A Safe Space
Phoenix fosters a safe, non-judgmental environment in which to share your thoughts and feelings - although you are always welcome to listen only during a meeting. Some of our members often mention that they don't have anyone to talk to about herpes except during our meetings.
Community Support
Members support each other in their journey—while everyone’s journey is unique, there are often many similarities and you will find many experiences relatable.

Attend Meeting Based on Your Schedule
You can attend as many or as few meetings as you like!
It’s our experience that new members benefit greatly by attending as many meetings as possible in the first 12-16 months after joining, but there is no minimum requirement.

Let us know you're interested in becoming a member. Please include your full name.
2. Review our orientation package and confirm if you'd like to join.
You'll receive an orientation package containing more detailed information about Phoenix. After reviewing, you can opt to join us by completing the membership form and sending payment for the annual membership fee of $35. If cost is a barrier please let us know.
3. Wait for confirmation and attend the next meeting!
Once we receive your form and payment, you''ll be added to our email list. You'll start receiving invitations and reminders for our monthly meetings. Membership includes access to both virtual and in-person meetings. Make note of upcoming meeting dates and attend your first meeting!
